Toft Group Executive Search, a global life sciences and healthcare executive recruiting firm, has placed Dr. Kapil Kumar as Vice President of Marketing with Nexcelom Bioscience in Lawrence, MA.
Dr. Kumar was most recently the Vice President of Global Marketing with Cell Signaling Technology (CST). Previously, was the Director of Global Product Strategy & Marketing for Particle Counting & Characterization at Beckman Coulter. Prior to working with Beckman Coulter, Dr. Kumar held multiple roles within Life Technologies (Thermo Fisher), most recently as the Associate Director, Global Product Strategy & Marketing. Dr. Kumar also served as Global Senior Market Development Manager for the Cell Analysis Business Unit. He began with the company in 2006 as a Senior Staff Scientist in R&D. Earlier in his industry career, Dr. Kumar was a Scientist at Ventana Medical Systems and BioHelix, Inc. He conducted his post-doctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Kumar holds a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Kent State University, and an MBA in Innovation & Entrepreneurship Management from Babson College.
